Development Effectiveness Country Briefs

Acknowledging the need to better capture and report its results on the ground as part of a new development effectiveness reporting, ADB has initiated the preparation of development effectiveness country briefs for each of its developing member countries.

In a first pilot phase, country briefs are being prepared for a sample of ADF countries for donors' feedback at the ADF X meetings. The purpose of the country brief is to provide an overview of ADB's operational effectiveness in the country in terms of key contributions to development outcomes and aid effectiveness. Country briefs are organized into three sections covering:

  1. the country's development setting
  2. ADB's contribution to development results
  3. ADB's agenda for enhancing partnerships and aid effectiveness
