HIV/AIDS in Asia and the Pacific

The HIV/AIDS seminar has been cancelled.

Due to positive rapid developments on HIV/AIDS issues, particularly the

• withdrawal of the court case against the South African Government on the importance of generic drugs
• United Nations' Secretary-General's recent announcement of the establishment of the Global HIV/AIDS Funds
• outcome of the WTO/WHO meetings in Norway on TRIPP and HIV/AIDS drugs

Both speakers will be involved in urgent meetings on 8 May.
