Open Forum on Cooperation Between ADB and NGOs
9 May 2001 (2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.)

How do we strengthen ADB-NGO Partnership?

The Forum is intended to review NGO involvement in ADB's operations and processes. For ADB, it is an opportunity to hear from NGO representatives and others, including ADB staff about

  • What has worked?
  • What hasn't worked?
  • What should be done better?

Forum Format

NGO representatives and ADB are deciding on specific discussion topics. The Forum will start with resource persons offering different perspectives on the issues raised. Then, group discussions will take place to explore the issue further and provide recommendations. The recommendations will be presented to all participants at the end of the Forum, and, based on the recommendations, a draft Action Plan will be prepared describing highest priority activities that can be taken over the next 12 months to strengthen ADB-NGO cooperation.
