| Citizens Alliance in Reforms for Efficient and Equitable Development (CREED) |
| Description | CREED is a group of individuals and organizations across Pakistan coming together to promote critical public debate towards informed consent and accountability for development programs and policies of government and donors. CREED supports the goals of social and environmental justice in their broadest reach. It seeks to implement its objectives by mobilizing public opinion and community action to privilege community over nation; labor over capital; people over government; nature and livelihoods over profit; and citizens over state. |
| Activities | All of CREED's activities are carried out with the voluntary contributions of its members. The NGO disseminates critical reviews of existing and planned projects. These advocate social priorities, eliminating waste, mitigation and compensation for adverse social and environmental impacts. With the same purpose, it also assists communities, and engages government and donors. CREED was a part of the coalition that filed the Inspection request for the ADB loan for the Korangi Wastewater Project, which subsequently was cancelled. In order to strive for human rights for all, CREED participates in national, regional and global coalitions of activists.
