The Multimedia Super Corridor
Malaysia's Model to Leapfrog into the Knowledge-Based Economy

Malaysia is working to move into the new knowledge-based economy using the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) model.

The MSC is Malaysia's next engine of growth and is a critical building block to achieve the country's vision for 2020, i.e., becoming a developed nation by 2020. Key strategies and policies that are fostering public-private partnerships to transform Malaysia into a knowledge-based society will be described. Examples will be given of applications and solutions developed and implemented to raise productivity levels of the Malaysian economy and to push the economy to higher value-added economic activities.
