SHAUKAT AZIZ is minister of finance and economic affairs, Pakistan. He also serves as chairperson for a number of key government committees including the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet, Cabinet Committee on Investment, Executive Committee of the National Economic Council, and Cabinet Committee on Privatization. Prior to this, he served as executive vice president of Citibank. He has 30 years of experience in global finance and international banking, working for Citibank. He was a member of the boards of several Citibank-owned entities including Saudi American Bank, Citi Islamic Bank, as well as several nonprofit organizations. Euromoney selected him as Finance Minister of the Year, 2001.
