Curriculum VitaePIETER P. BOTTELIER is an economist and scholar on the People's Republic of China (PRC). He is an adjunct lecturer at the Kennedy School of Government (Harvard University), and an adjunct professor at the School for Advanced International Studies (Johns Hopkins University). As well, he is a consultant on transition management and development strategy. He worked at the World Bank for 28 years and served in senior managerial positions as senior advisor to the vice president for East Asia; chief of the World Bank's resident mission in Beijing; two consecutive directorships for Latin America and North Africa; division chief for Mexico; and resident chief economist in Jakarta, Indonesia. |
