Curriculum VitaeNICHOLAS F. BRADY is chairman of Darby Overseas Investment, Ltd. He served as secretary of the US Department of the Treasury from 1988 to 1993 under the administrations of former presidents Reagan and Bush. During his four and one-half years at Treasury, he designed and successfully implemented the Brady Plan to solve the Latin American debt crisis. Mr. Brady is also credited with containing and resolving the savings and loan industry financial crisis through the creation of the Resolution Trust Corporation. Following the stock market crash in 1987, he was chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Market Mechanisms (the Brady Commission). Prior to his appointment as Treasury secretary, he had a 34-year career in investment banking. |
