Curriculum Vitae

CHIA SIOW YUE is director of the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Singapore. She is also the director of Singapore's APEC Study Centre and the regional coordinator of the East Asian Development Network. Professor Chia serves on various international and regional committees and councils, including Pacific Trade and Development Conference, PECC Trade Forum, ASEAN Economic Forum, Asia Policy Forum, Asia Society, and the Asia-Australia Institute. She also worked with the World Bank, the United Nations (UN), OECD Development Centre, Asian Development Bank, and ASEAN Secretariat. She holds a PhD in Economics from McGill University.
