MASASHI KANEKO is chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Nikko Cordial Securities (formerly Nikko Securities). He joined the firm in 1962 and has been involved in most facets of the firm's operations in Japan and abroad. He has served as vice president of Nikko Securities Company International in New York, managing director for Nikko International Capital Management, head of Institutional Investment Services, and head of International Operations for Nikko Securities. He was also the chairman of Nikko Europe Plc. and the chief executive officer for the European Group. He is a chartered financial analyst.
