Curriculum Vitae

TAKATOSHI KATO is advisor to the president, Tokyo-Mitsubishi Bank, and visiting professor at Waseda University. Mr. Kato was a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Commission on Macroeconomics and Health, chaired by Professor Jeffrey Sachs, and involved in producing the report, Investing in Health for Economic Development. He was one of the eminent persons involved in articulating the Asian Development Bank's long-term strategic framework. Previously, Mr. Kato was vice minister of finance for international affairs in Japan and in this capacity was Japan's G7 deputy.
