MICHAEL RAWDING is president, Asia Pacific and vice president of Microsoft Corporation. He is responsible for all Microsoft's sales, marketing, and support activities in Asia Pacific, and particularly of Microsoft's 14 subsidiaries in the region. Previously, he was regional director in charge of Microsoft Greater China Region, based in Beijing. Before coming to Asia, he served as director of the Horizontal Markets Group at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond (US) with responsibility for driving Microsoft's strategies and partnerships in critical application software segments, and as director of industry marketing. Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked at Unisys Corporation, and as a management consultant at Interdevelopment Inc.
