ELLIS SHORT is president of Lone Star Global Acquisitions. He is responsible for Lone Star Fund IV's investment activity in the Asia region, having been previously in charge of the Asian investment of Lone Star Fund III and Lone Star Fund II. Lone Star IV is a $4.2 billion private equity fund that invests globally in secured and unsecured debt, real estate, and selected corporate opportunities. Earlier, he directed the investment activity of the predecessor Lone Star funds in North America. Before joining Lone Star, Mr. Short was with General Electric (GE), including assignments in GE Capital Real Estate Business and GE Pension Fund.
