COLIN S. TAM is chairman and chief executive officer of Meiya Power Company Ltd (MPC), and the chairman of Independent Power Producers Forum, a nonprofit industry support organization mandated by its members to achieve best practices in the power generation industry in the Asia and Pacific region. MPC is currently one of the largest foreign power producers in People's Republic of China (PRC). Previously, he worked for Air Products and Chemicals Inc. for 14 years, where he was initially responsible for worldwide electricity supply and energy sales and later was director of business development for the PRC. He holds master's degrees in business administration and in computer science. He is a registered professional engineer in New York, Ohio, and the District of Columbia, US.
