ROY N. TAUB is executive managing director of Risk Solutions, a new unit within Standard & Poor's (S&P) Credit Market Services providing risk management tools, research, and consulting services to financial institutions, corporations, and other clients around the world. Mr. Taub joined S&P in 1972 as a financial analyst in equity research. He transferred to the Ratings Group in 1977 as part of Corporate Ratings and became chairman of S&P's Corporate Rating Criteria Committee in 1980. He was appointed managing director in 1984 and head of S&P's Insurance Rating Department in 1986. He has been heading Risk Solutions since it's inception in 2000. He holds an MBA from Pennsylvania State University and is a chartered financial analyst.
