Curriculum VitaeANTHONY WILHELM is senior director, the Benton Foundation. Since joining the foundation, he has spearheaded the launch of its Digital Divide Network (DDN), a corporate-foundation collaboration to accelerate the potential of information and communication technology (ICT). DDN's new Digital Opportunity Channel focuses exclusively on ICT and developing countries. Dr. Wilhelm is on the advisory board of Intel's Computer Clubhouse Project. He has authored numerous articles and essays, in addition to his book Democracy in the Digital Age. Recently, he was a finalist for the inaugural World Technology Award for Media & Journalism, awarded by the World Technology Network in London. Previously, he was director for ICT research at the Tomás Rivera Policy Institute, a public policy think-tank in Southern California. He holds a PhD from Claremont Graduate University's School of Politics and Economics. |
