Indonesia


Boediono, Indonesia's finance minister, and Burhanuddin Abdullah, governor of Bank Indonesia, will speak about the key economic challenges facing Indonesia after it exits from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program and during the election year 2004. The speakers will elaborate on government measures to solve these problems, sustain macroeconomic stability, and revive economic growth in the medium term. The following questions will be addressed:

  • What are the challenges?
  • What policies are pursued in the short and medium term?
  • What are the key elements of macroeconomic policies and the economic reform program?
  • What are the outcomes so far?
  • How effective are Indonesia's efforts to revive economic growth?
