Participation at the Annual Meeting is not open to the public and all participants must be invited by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Participants include official delegations from ADB member countries and observers from ADB-accredited international organizations, together with representatives from ADB-accredited media, nongovernment organizations, commercial banks, major consulting firms, and major corporations. These organizations, banks, and firms are accredited by ADB at its discretion for the sole purpose of attending ADB Annual Meetings on the basis of their significant and continuing relationships with ADB.
PreregistrationInvited participants are required to preregister to attend the Annual Meeting. Preregistration forms for invited participants are available on a secure website. Invitation letters will be sent to all accredited participants, explaining how to preregister online (with user IDs and passwords required for access in the registration forms). Completion of Registration Formalities in Jeju IslandInvited participants are required to complete the rest of the registration formalities as early as possible at the registration center located at ICC Jeju. The Registration Center will be open daily from 13 to 17 May 2004 for issuing identification badges and other meeting materials to all participants. Identification badges entitling the holder to attend the Annual Meeting should be worn at all times in the Meeting areas and at official events, including official social events. Participants and any accompanying persons (18 years or older) are required to complete the registration formalities in person by presenting their passports as proof of identity when collecting their identification badges. Delegates who are citizens of the Republic of Korea may present other officially issued photographic identification documents. Unless The Secretary of ADB is advised otherwise in writing, the names and positions of all registered participants will be disclosed through conference documentation, e.g., lists of participants or e-mail forwarding facility, for the purpose of organizing bilateral or multilateral meetings among participants and for inviting to any social events that some of the participating organizations may host. Email Networking FacilityComplimentary email access is provided to assist in networking among registered participants. You may use it to arrange bilateral or multilateral meetings, and to invite participants to social functions during the event. You may not, however, use this facility to promote your products or services to other participants and to disseminate your views or opinions on any issues. To ensure compliance with this policy, messages sent through this facility may be monitored. Contact personIf you and/or your organization are a regular participant at ADB's Annual Meetings, please complete the contact person's details to facilitate your invitation in the future. If your organization is sending many representatives from your head office, regional offices and/or your overseas operations, you may have more than one contact person. However, you may enter the details of only one contact person using each of the ID number and password. You can use your ID number and password to access the form and update the contact person's details until the end of January 2005.
