Burhanudin Abdullah
 

BURHANUDDIN ABDULLAH has been the governor of Bank Indonesia since May 2003. He is the governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Indonesia. He is the chair of the Indonesian Economic Association. In 2001, he was the coordinating minister of economic affairs. He joined Bank Indonesia in 1979 and held various positions in a number of directorates. He was seconded to IMF as a special appointee in 1989 and an assistant to the executive director for the South East Asia Group of IMF in 1991. He holds a degree from the agriculture faculty, Padjajaran University, Indonesia, and a master's degree in economics from Michigan State University, USA.
