Kai Nargolwala
 

KAI NARGOLWALA is the chair of the Standard Chartered Bank's Wholesale Bank (corporate and institutional banking and global markets) and group executive director in charge of governance in Asia, inclusive of South Asia. He joined Standard Chartered in 1998 and was appointed to the board in 1999. He is a director of the Asia and Pacific region of Visa International Service Association and a non-executive director of Tate & Lyle PLC, a UK-based company. Before joining Standard Chartered, he had worked in Bank of America for 19 years. He was their group executive vice president, head of Asia Wholesale Banking Group, headquartered in Hong Kong, China. He was a member of the bank's senior management council. Before that he was a chartered accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in London. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Delhi, India, and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
