Laurence Fink
 

LAURENCE D. FINK is chair and CEO of BlackRock, Inc., and chair of the firm's Management Committee, and of the board of Nomura BlackRock Asset Management (Blackrock's joint venture in Japan), and several of BlackRock's alternative investment vehicles. He is a trustee and president of BlackRock Funds, the firm's open-end fund family, and a director of several BlackRock offshore funds. Before founding BlackRock in 1988, he was connected with The First Boston Corporation, where he co-headed the firm's Taxable Fixed Income Division. He is a member of the board of executives of the New York Stock Exchange, among others. He obtained his bachelor's degree in political science and master in business administration from the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA).
