Ole E. Moesby
OLE E. MOESBY has been undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2003, governor for Denmark at ADB since 2004, and was alternate governor for Denmark at ADB in 2003-2004. He is governor at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and African Development Bank, and alternate governor at the Inter-American Development Bank. He was deputy permanent representative in the Permanent Mission of Denmark to the United States, New York, in 2002-2003. He was Danish ambassador to Zimbabwe in 2001-2002, accredited to Angola, Botswana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was head of the Department for Southern Africa in 1998-2001; head of Humanitarian Department in 1994-1998; and deputy head of Department for Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1993-1994. He was deputy head of mission at the Royal Danish Embassy in Egypt in 1989-1993. He started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1987 as head of section in the Africa Department. He earned a master's degree in political science from University of Aarbus, Denmark, in 1982.
