S. RAMAKRISHNAN is executive director, finance, of Tata Power Company. He is director on the board of Tata Power Company, Tata Projects, THDC, Tata Petrodyne, and Avaya Global Connect. He has been associated with the Tata Group for over 30 years. He joined Tata Administrative Services in 1972, and during his long tenure handled a multitude of national and international projects. He was deputy managing director of the Indian Hotels Company, the owner of Taj Group of Hotels. His has a bachelor's degree in technology (mechanical) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a management degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.
