Duncan Colin Campbell
DUNCAN COLIN CAMPBELL is director of the International Policy Group in the International Labour Office
(ILO). He has held several positions in ILO since joining, including director of Employment Strategy Department,
chief of the World Employment Report Team in 2001-2002, and senior industrial relations specialist.
Before joining ILO, he was senior research officer at the International Institute for Labour Studies in 1990-
1996. He worked as associate director in the Center for Human Resources in 1986-1990, and as adjunct
associate professor in the Department of Management in the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in
1988-1990. He is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics, the International Industrial
Relations Association, and a member of the Advisory Board of Globalization and Poverty Programme at
the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex. His work has been published in several trade
magazines and institutional reports. He holds a doctoral degree in applied economics and a master’s in business
administration (MBA) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
