N. Chandrasekaran
 

N. CHANDRASEKARAN is executive vice president of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) and heads TCS’s global operations and sales worldwide. He is a member of the corporate strategy group and is responsible for formulating and executing the company’s global strategy, which focuses on near-term and longer-term growth opportunities. He has spearheaded quality initiatives in TCS, in particular implementation of an enterprisewide capability maturity model integrated (CMMI) and people capability maturity model (PCMM) level 5 certification. He has 19 years’ experience in the software industry and has held a number of senior leadership positions in TCS. As well as being on the board of TCS’s aviation subsidiary, AFS, as well as its European, Latin American and Asia-Pacific arms, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Computer Society of India (CSI), and British Computer Society (BCS). He has received the Qimpro Silver Standard 2002 award for his performance in quality. He has a master’s degree in computer applications from the Regional Engineering College, Trichy, India.
