Sanjay Mirchandani
 

SANJAY MIRCHANDANI became the regional vice president, Enterprise Services for the Microsoft Asia Region (Japan, the People’s Republic of China, and the Asia Pacific) in 2004. He is also a member of the Microsoft Worldwide Services and IT Leadership team. Before this, he was the regional vice president, Microsoft Asia Pacific Region. In this role, he oversaw the general management of 11 subsidiaries including Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Viet Nam, and Sri Lanka. He also managed a regional team that was responsible for strategic business initiatives and business development in the region. He was a member of the worldwide sales, marketing and services leadership team. Before this he was president of Microsoft South Asia and between 1998 and 2001, he was managing director, Microsoft Corporation (India) Private Limited. He joined Microsoft in 1995 in Dubai and held several management positions in Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East before moving to India. He worked at Arthur Andersen Dubai between 1992 and 1994, and had short stint at his own business consulting practice in Boston. He was part of the IT team at a Bell Atlantic subsidiary in the United States between 1987 and 1990. He has a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree in arts from Drew University, USA.
