Wolfgang Morke
WOLFGANG MORKE has been director of the International Relations Department at the Bundesbank since
2005. He was head of the Communication Department from 1998 to 2005, and before that the representative
of the Bundesbank in Tokyo from 1995. He has been head of the Press and Public Relations Division (1992-
1994); deputy representative in New York (1987-1991); and officer in the International Monetary Issues Division
(1984-1987). He was director's adviser at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 1981 to 1984. He
started his career at the Bundesbank in 1975. He graduated in business management from University of
Hamburg, Germany.
