Betty Tan
BETTY TAN is a director with the Standard & Poor (S&P) structured finance ratings team in Asia. She evaluates
and rates structured finance deals in Asia, including asset-backed securities (ABS), commercial and
residential mortgage backed securities (CMBSs and RMBSs), and centralized debt obligations (CDOs). Her
career with S&P began over a decade ago, when she was responsible for refining the S&P ratings criteria for
Hong Kong RMBSs. She has also worked for Morgan Stanley in New York and Hong Kong, covering structured
finance transaction and providing credit and rating advisory services. She holds a bachelor's degree in
finance and marketing from New York University, USA.
