Participation of CSOs

ADB welcomes the participation of civil society organizations (CSOs) -- such as NGOs, labor unions, and community-based organizations -- in its 40th Annual Meeting, to be held on 4 to 7 May 2007 in Kyoto, Japan.

The Annual Meeting provides a venue for CSOs to interact with ADB's Management and managers, as well as with government representatives on the Board of Directors and in country delegations.

NGO/Civil Society Program

Starting on 3 May 2007, several sessions were organized for CSOs and for other interested delegates. Read the civil society program. To assist civil society organizations (CSOs) participating in events connected with the 40th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors, ADB's NGO and Civil Society Center has prepared the Guide to Civil Society Program.

Registration

Online registration is closed. If you have received an invitation to attend the Annual Meeting, please bring it with you when you register in Kyoto.

Requirements for Accreditation

CSOs that have not been previously accredited and who plan to attend the Annual Meeting for the first time must be accredited in advance. Accreditation process for the 40th Annual Meeting in Kyoto has passed. ADB is accepting requests for accreditation for the 41st Annual Meeting to be held in May 2008.

Requests for accreditation should be addressed to ADB's NGO and Civil Society Center (NGOC). Learn more about CSO accreditation.

Please note that those attending the Annual Meeting are expected to cover the costs of their participation.
