Tomohide Atsumi

TOMOHIDE ATSUMI is Associate Professor at the Center for the Study of Communication, Design and Community Dynamics, Division of Volunteer Studies, Graduate School of Human Sciences, Osaka University. He is the Vice President of Nippon Volunteer Network Active in Disaster. He has joined many disaster relief activities, including those for the Kobe earthquake in 1995, the Taipei,China earthquake in 1999 and 2000, and the Bam earthquake in 2004. He holds a doctoral degree in social psychology from the University of Michigan, and a master’s and bachelor’s degree in social psychology from Osaka University.
