AMOD M. DIXIT is General Secretary and Executive Director of National Society for Earthquake Technology– Nepal (NSET), which was founded in 1994, and was registered as non-profit and non-government organization to promote awareness of earthquake risk and implementation of seismic risk reduction projects in Nepal. Previously, he worked as a geologist in the Government of Nepal and SILT Consultants, Kathmandu. He holds a master’s degree in engineering geology from the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, and a mining engineer–geologist qualification from the Leningrad Mining Institute, Russia.
