Caio Koch-Weser
 

CAIO KOCH-WESER is Vice Chairman of Deutsche Bank Group. He was State Secretary and Deputy Minister within the German Federal Ministry of Finance from 1999 to 2005. From 2003 to 2005, he was Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union. He is a member of the boards of the Bertelsmann Foundation, the Peterson Institute of International Economics, the Bruegel Institute, and the Tata Energy Research Institute. From 1973 until 1999, he held a number of high-level positions in the World Bank, notably as Division Chief for the China Program, Deputy Treasurer and Director Treasury Operations, Regional Vice President for Middle East and North Africa, and Managing Director Operations and member of the Executive Committee. He studied economics and sociology in Münster, Berlin, and Bonn.
