Mikio Ishiwatari

MIKIO ISHIWATARI is an expert on disaster management and water resources management. He had assumed key positions in various organizations such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Embassy of Japan in Nepal and the ADB. He is now Senior Advisor at the Institute for International Cooperation, JICA. As Senior Advisor to JICA, he is responsible for projects relating to rehabilitation and reconstruction of disaster affected areas such as Aceh and Central Java in Indonesia. He has also been engaged in projects in post-conflict areas such as Afghanistan and Mindanao.
