SHIGERU TAKEDA A is Senior Executive Director of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). He joined the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund in 1973. Since then he has assumed various key positions, such as Director General of Development Assistance Department IV, and has undertaken lending and other operations for economic and social development of African countries. He holds a bachelor's degree in law from Waseda University, Japan.
