Governors' Seminar: Facing Asia's Future—Report of the Eminent Persons Group

In 2007, ADB will initiate a comprehensive midterm review of its long-term strategic framework, in order for the institution to remain relevant and effective as a regional development bank. In starting this process, a panel of six eminent persons was convened to provide insights on the region's future and the role of ADB. The Eminent Persons Group's (EPG) report [ PDF: 704kb | 38 pages ], made public in April 2007, advises ADB on the challenges and opportunities within the dynamic global and regional environment, and gives recommendations for maintaining ADB's operational relevance and efficacy. Members of the EPG and Governors of ADB discussed the conclusions of the EPG report and the next steps for ADB.
