Asian-Tailored Technology for Integrated Disaster Risk Management-Sharing Experiences and Future Developments

Seminar sponsored by Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC))

The Seminar is based on the concept of "Asian - tailored Technology for Integrated Disaster Risk Management" and will focus on the necessity to develop community based disaster risk management. The Seminar will discuss:
  1. the idea of "Implementation Technology" which stand for the integration and utilization of available pieces of technologies for local people,
  2. challenges towards community based participatory management for disaster reduction in Asia, and
  3. possible framework of community based disaster risk management in Asia, and
  4. experiences of Asian countries and other developing countries.
