Pre-registration

Participation at ADB annual meetings is restricted to delegates from its member countries, and other invited guests, observers, and media. To be invited to participate at ADB annual meetings, guests, observers, NGO representatives, and media representatives must be nominated by their respective institutions accredited for this purpose by ADB.

If you are nominated to be a member of the official delegation from your country, officially representing an organization accredited by ADB, a former ADB staff, or an accompanying person of the above main participant, you must register in advance to be able to attend the Annual Meeting in Shanghai.

Registration closes on 1 April 2002. As part of security arrangements, all participants are required to register in advance.

To register, please complete the appropriate registration form, and forward the form electronically to ADB. If you have an electronic file of your scanned photo in JPEG format, you may please attach it to the registration form and forward both electronically. If you do not have an electronic file of your scanned photo, please print your name and date of birth on the back of two copies of your photo (passport type color photos measuring 4 cms X 4 cms on a white background), and send these separately by courier to:

Registration Formalities in Shanghai

Participants are required to come in person as early as possible to the Registration Counters located in the International Media Center near the Shanghai meeting site and complete the rest of their registration formalities. Participants are required to produce their passports when they claim their ID badges. Citizens and permanent residents of the People's Republic of China may claim their ID badges by producing an officially issued photo identification card such as the driver's license. These ID badges must be worn at all times to be able to enter Meeting areas and to attend official events.

Unless the ADB Secretary is advised otherwise in writing, the names and positions of all registered participants will be published in various Annual Meeting documents. Such information may also be provided to other ADB accredited institutions participating at the meeting for purposes such as the issuing of invitations to functions related to the meeting.
