Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Consultancy Services for Detailed Engineering Design
REG: Improvement of the Regional Road Corridor (Dushanbe - Kyrgyz Border)
The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan under Project for the Improvement of the Regional Road Corridor (Dushanbe - Kyrgyz Border) for the Consulting Services for the preparation of detailed engineering design, tender documents and environmental, social/poverty assessment and construction supervision.
The services requested include preparation of detailed engineering design, Specifications and Bill of Quantity and tender documents based on the standards of ADB on the existing alignment.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Tajikistan now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services.
Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.).
Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
Consultant will be selected based on Quality- and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) method in accordance with the ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants. The services are expected to start not later than January 2008.
Interested consulting firms from ADB's member countries may obtain further information at the address below from 08:00 to 17:00 hours (local time).
Expression of Interest must be delivered to the address below not later than 10 September 2007.

2. The Project will require support from a team of consultants comprising of 34 person-months of international inputs, and 72 person-months of national inputs. The team will be engaged through a firm following the provisions of the Guidelines on the Use of Consultants by Asian Development Bank and its Borrowers and using the Quality & Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method and simplified technical proposals.
