Loan No. 1982: Renewable Energy Development Project

The Republic of Indonesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Renewable Energy Development Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

PT PLN (Persero) (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, supply, transportation, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete mini hydropower project ("the Works") under the following Contract Package as part of the RED project:

Mini Hydro Power Project - Package I: Mongango (2 x 600 kW), Lobong (2 x 800 kW) & Merasap (2 x 750 kW)

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Two-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

• collect the documents from the address above from 28 February 2005
• pay a non-refundable fee of three million rupiah (Rp3,000,000)

Bidders should deliver their technical and price proposals:

• to the address above
• on or before the deadline: 31 May 2005
• together with a Bid Security of US$150,000 and should be included with the technical proposal.

The technical proposal will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

The price proposals and supplementary price proposals, if provided, will be opened in the presence of the bidder's representatives who choose to attend at the place, time, and date as indicated in the Employer's invitation for the second stage bid opening, after approval of the ADB of the evaluation of the technical proposals.

When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
