The Republic of Indonesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Road Rehabilitation (Sector) Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

The Directorate General of Land Transportation, Directorate of Road Traffic and Transport, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply and installation of the following:

CP-9- Axle Weight Beams and Supporting Equipment for Weigh Station at Losarang, West Java Province and Pelawan, Jambi Province. (Completion period for this contract is 170 calendar days).

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

  • write to the address above
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of Rp 1.0 million

Bidder should deliver their bids:
  • to the address above
  • on or before 31 May 2006
  • together with Bid Security of not less than 2% of the Total Bid Price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency

Late bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened immediately at the address above in the presence of the bidders representatives who choose to attend.

The Employer will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
