Invitation for Bids
The Republic of Maldives has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Tsunami Emergency Assistance Project and it intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.
The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of the Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the three contracts for reconstruction and rehabilitation of sea walls, quay walls, and channels at the three harbors:
- Haa Alif Dhidhoo Harbor
- Raa Ungoofaaru Harbor, and
- Noono Manadhoo Harbor
(Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document)
International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
A Bidder may bid for one lot or any combination of lots.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below
To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
- write to the address below
- pay a non-refundable fee of US$50.0 or an equivalent amount in local currency
- between 0830 and 1230 hours from 21 February 2006.
Deliver your bids:
- to the address below
- on or before 1400 hours (Maldivian time) on
21 April 2006
- together with a Bid Security of US$11,000 per
package
Late bids will be rejected. The Employer will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred in the preparation or delivery of bids.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on 13 March 2006 at 1400 hours at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury Conference Hall.
