The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Guangxi Roads Development (Nanning-Youyiguan Highway) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of the loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

CMC International Tendering Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply, installation and related services of the following:

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope procedure and is open to bidders from eligible source countries.

A Bidder may bid for any combination of lots.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:
  • write to CITC with the above address between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (Beijing time) from 20 December 2005 to 18 February 2006 except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
  • pay of a non-refundable fee of RMB1,000.0 or US$120.0 for each contract package by cash, cashier's check or direct deposit

Documents may be sent by courier No liability for loss or late delivery.

Bidders should submit their bids:
  • to the Purchaser with the above address
  • at or before 10:00 am (Beijing time) on 18 February 2006
  • together with a Bid Security of not less than two percent of the total bid price

Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders representatives who choose to attend.

The Purchaser will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation and delivery of bids.

In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
