Loan No.2363-ARM: Water Supply and Sanitation Sector ProjectThe Government of the Republic of Armenia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank in the amount of US$ 36 million toward the cost of the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project, and it intends to use the loan proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. Bidding for contracts will be governed by the Procurement Guidelines of the Asian Development Bank. The objective of the Project is improved public health and environment for about 576,000 people living in 16 towns and about 125 villages by improving the water supply and sanitation systems. The Project consists of two main components: (1) Municipal Infrastructure Rehabilitation and Improvement (2) Management Improvement and Capacity Development. Procurement of contracts financed by the loan will be conducted through the procedures specified in ADB's Procurement Guidelines issued on February 2007, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.
