Invitation for Bids
1. This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in ADB's Business Opportunities on 17 June 2008. 2. The Republic of Armenia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project. Part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to eligible bidders from eligible source countries of ADB. This contract will be jointly financed by the Government of Armenia. The eligibility rules and procedures of the ADB will govern the bidding process. 3. The Armenian Water and Sewerage Closed Joint Stock Company (AWSC) (the Employer) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Improvement of Water Supply and Wastewater Systems of Airum, Noyemberyan Towns and Deghdzavan, Haghtanak Villages including construction of 2 borehole pumping stations with H=90m and Q=90m3/h, construction of about 17 km total length PE and steel pipeline with nominal diameters from DN50 to DN160 and installation of about 230 water meter chambers. 4. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure. 5. Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend. 9.
