1. The The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Dhaka Clean Fuel, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above.
2. The Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Limited (RPGCL)/ Dhaka Clean Fuel Project (RPGCL - Part) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following packages:

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
4. Only eligible bidders with a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing and supplying of the type of workshop equipment as required by the Purchaser should participate in this bidding. In case the bidder is not a manufacturer, but only a duly authorized representative of the manufacturer, the experience requirements must be met by the manufacturer being represented.
5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should:
- submit a written application to the address below;
- pay a non-refundable fee as stated in the table above from 20 August 2008 to 13 October 2008 (during office hours). The method of payment will be in pay order/demand draft in favor of "Dhaka Clean Fuel Project (RPGCL-Part)".
- The document may be sent by courier for an additional fee of Tk5,000 or US $75 in favor of "Dhaka Clean Fuel Project (RPGCL-Part)". No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered:
- to the address above;
- on or before 14 October 2008, 11:00a.m. (BST). Late bids will not be accepted.
- All bids must be accompanied by a bid security as stated in the table above.
7. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address above at 11:30 a.m. (BST) on 14 October 2008.
8. RPGCL will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
9. To compare the bids, ADB's Domestic Preference scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
