1.    The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Gas Transmission and Development Project and it is intended that a part of the funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Re-Bidding Document is issued.

2.    The Gas Transmission Company Limited (the Purchaser) now invites sealed Bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply and delivery of Anti-Corrosion Coated Line Pipes, Station Pipes and Casing Pipes for the Construction of 762mm (30") OD 51.00 km high pressure natural gas transmission pipeline from Monohordi to Dhanua and Elenga to East Bank of Jamuna Bridge. Details and Specifications are provided in the Bidding Document.

3.    International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4.    Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the following address:

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document bidders should:

  1. visit the office of the Project Director at the address above starting 26 June 2008 and pay a non-refundable fee as stated in the table above, in cash; or

  2. request for delivery by sending a written application to the office of the Project Director at address above. For an additional fee of USD50 the Bidding Document will be sent through express mail service. Mode of payment will be by Pay Order/Demand Draft in favour of "Gas Transmission Company Limited." No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. No Bid Document will be sold on the closing date.

6.    Bid must be delivered to the above address, at or before the date & time in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Late Bids shall be rejected.

7.    Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security as mentioned in the table.

8.    The purchaser will not be responsible for any cost or expense incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bid.
