1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the ADB Business Opportunities on 28 October 2005.
2. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Gas Transmission and Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contracts named above.
3. The Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) now invites six sealed bids for the supply and delivery of the following goods for the construction of 762mm OD (30") 82km high pressure (1135 Psig) natural gas transmission pipeline from Hatikumrul to Bheramara.

3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source counters.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given below.

6. The Bidding Documents, in English, may be purchased by interested bidders during working hours from 12 August 2007 upon submission of a written application to the address above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fees mentioned in the above table. The method of payment will be by demand draft or pay order in favor of GTCL. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address above at or before 11:00 hours (BST) on the date, together with a Bid Security amount mentioned in the above table. Late Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened at or before 11:30 hours (BST) on the date mentioned in the above table in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.
8. GTCL will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
