Invitation for Bids

1.    The Kingdom of Bhutan has received a Technical Assistance grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the (i) procurement and installation of the credit information software and appropriate technological and physical infrastructure (including software, hardware and technology solution) to set up the data center, and (ii) capacity building of CIB staff for the proper operation and management of the CIB system.

2.    The Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan (RMA) invites sealed bids from eligible Local or International bidders for the Supply and Installation of Technology and Physical Infrastructure for Credit Information Bureau of Bhutan.

3.    The scope of work includes: Local Area Network Deployment, Data Center Construction and Power Solution, Hardware/Storage Infrastructure Solution, Supply and Installation of Active Network and Communication Solution, Third Party Software Procurement and Implementation, Help Desk Solution and Consultancy Services.

4.    International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

6.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

• submit a written application to the Administration and Finance Division, RMA;
• pay a non-refundable document fee of Nu500, plus postage at cost as required. Soft copy of the bid document will also be available at the following websites: www.rma.org.bt or www.rma.org.bt/EXTERNALWEB/suppliersProcurements.jsp.

7.    Bids must be delivered:

• to the Administration and Finance Division, RMA
• on or before 2:00 pm of 15 December 2008
• together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the total bid amount in BTN/INR or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

8.    Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

9.    The Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
