Invitation for Bids
1. The Kingdom of Cambodia has received a loan from the Asia Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Road Asset Management Project (RAMP). Part of the proceeds of the loan and the grant will be used for payments under the contract for the Maintenance of Section of National Road 5. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of ADB. The Contract will be jointly financed by a grant from the Australian Agency for Development (AusAID). The Eligibility rules and procedures of the ADB will govern the bidding process. 2. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) (the Employer) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the maintenance of approximately 88 km of National Road No. 5 from PK 3 + 900 to PK 91 + 100. The works under the contract cover periodic maintenance of National Road No. 5 from Phnom Penh to Kompong Chhnang and includes earthworks, pavement and bituminous works, bridges and culverts, drainage and slope protection, and ancillary/miscellaneous works. 3. Bids will be opened on the same day at 3:30p.m. in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend. 7. When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Documents. 8. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation and delivery of bids. Specific Notice |
