Invitation for Bids
1. India has applied a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Himachal Pradesh Clean Energy Development Program (HPCEDIP) and it is intended that part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB. 2. The Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (HPPCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of Civil and Hydromechanical Works of Sainj Hydroelectric Project on EPC mode as per the brief particulars of scope of work mentioned herein after: The brief scope of EPC Contract shall include Planning, Design & Engineering and execution of Civil & Infrastructure Works; Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembling, Testing, Inspection, Transportation, Erection, Supervision and Commissioning of Hydro Mechanical equipment as specified under: Civil Works shall comprise (but not limited to) Design, Engineering and Execution of River Diversion Works, Diversion Barrage, Intake, Desanding Arrangement, HRT, Underground Surge Shaft, Pressure Shaft, Underground Power House, Tail Race Tunnel, Access Adits, Underground Switchyard, Instrumentation relevant to such structures along with Access Roads and other appurtenant works. Design, Engineering, Supply, Fabrication of Penstock Liner from steel plates conforming to ASTM-516 grade 60 and 517 grade F or equivalent, its Accessories and Specials, Transportation of Penstock Liner to Project site/site of Erection, Erection, Testing, Painting, and Commissioning of complete Penstock. Hydro Mechanical works shall comprise (but not limited to) Design, Manufacturing, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of gates at Barrage, Intake, Desanding Arrangement, Silt Flushing Tunnel, Surge Shaft and Tail Race Tunnel. 3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. 4.
